Tried downloading the CSR software stack full install however the dongle stopped working completely. 17901 which seems way too old for BLE support. I tested the dongle on a Windows 8.1 desktop and it is installed OK however only works with traditional Bluetooth and not BLE.
I was hoping that Windows would be a bit more stable -( I have used the same dongle under Rasbian on the same pi and it will do an LE scan and pair although it is flakey and the hci service seems to always need restarting. Has anybody else had issues using BLE or the CSR 4.0 dongle? If you have had success perhaps a direct link to where it was purchased etc. Is there any way to debug or otherwise discover why the light goes off on the dongle and why I can't scan for BLE advertising using the GATT tool and the supposedly tested working CSR 4.0 hardware? IPhone so I know that it is broadcasting fine.

The LightBlue Bean shows up on my Android phone, as well as on an iPad and To LE mode using "c" command the light goes off and it doesn't report any scan results despite having a BLE broadcasting device (Punchthrough LightBlue Bean) close at hand. I can open the GATT tool using C:\Windows\System32\IoTBluetoothPairing.exeĪs per however I can't get it to work with BLE mode. I have a Raspberry Pi2 Model B and have loaded Windows IoT with v 6.63 (Latest as of Jan 2016) and am trying to make a CSR BLE 4 dongle work (Purchased from Adafruit).
